That was the challenge facing Mueller Co., North America’s leading potable water distribution company. They turned to Dell, who worked with Havis, for help.

The trouble began at Mueller’s plant and warehouse in Chattanooga. Workers there had problems updating inventory, transporting data, and connecting to the company Wi-Fi network.

A couple of months ago, we were contacted by an architect from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc)/California Institute of Technology (Caltech). His team is working with the U.S. Department of Energy on DALE (Dynamic Augmented Living Environment), a net-zero solar powered house comprised of two prefab modules that run on a rail system, making it a home that is as active as the people who reside in it.
